  • Medtronic is warning people who use MiniMed 620G, 630G, 640G and 670G insulin pumps that the devices may deliver too much or not enough insulin if an exterior mechanical component on the top of.
  • As MiniMed 620G pumps were designed and built in the USA, it is not clear which battery available in Japan is really suited to use with the device. Medtronic started to sell alkaline batteries manufactured by Energizer (St. Louis, MO, USA) as the recommended battery to use with its pumps from January 2017 in Japan.

At mealtimes, you simply check your blood glucose levels and enter the number of carbs you intend to eat. Instead of calculating your insulin needs, you can now let your pump do the maths.
